The cargo is a hydro power generator, 3.93m wide & 3.85m high – it needs to be delivered into a remote corner of Yorkshire and everyone so far has told us it cannot be done! It’s too big and the roads are too narrow!
To the stg Project team, this is a challenge we really enjoy.
Several route surveys later, despite the size and an access road best described as a country lane, it was time for the final test – were we going to make it or not? Needless to say, thorough preparation paid off and the final few miles (of a journey that started in Holland) were uneventful – much to every ones relief!
